CARTA CUSTOMERS

DORCHESTER ROAD STOP CLOSURES

05/29/17-06/30/17

CARTA BUS STOPS ALONG DORCHESTER ROAD WILL BE IMPACTED BY CONSTRUCTION

SCDOT WILL BE CONDUCTING ROAD WORK ON DORCHESTER ROAD BETWEEN MEETING ST. AND CROSS COUNTY ROAD STARTING MAY 29, 2017 AND CONTINUING FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS

  • Bus stops located on Dorchester Road between Meeting St. and Cross County will experience “rolling closures”.  Each week SCDOT will be working on approximately 1 mile stretch of roadway every 2 days.
  • Road work on outside lanes (bus lane) will occur every other day, which will impact bus service.
  • The outside lane will be closed to CARTA buses for approximately 1 day.
  • Weather may also impact this schedule, so please check www.ridecarta.com or call customer service for more information.
  • Passengers will not be able to use the stops in the designated areas until the road is cleared for CARTA buses to travel.  Notices will be posted on bus stops that are closed.  Notices will be removed when the stop is re-opened.  Passengers will need to travel to the next unaffected stop for bus service.

Please check the website periodically to determine and anticipate when specific stops will be affected.

CARTA’s website will be updated periodically as updates are received from SCDOT.

We apologize for any inconvenience these closures may cause.

For more information please call customer service at 843-724-7420
